I'm Catherine Shuman.

Professional houseplant hoarder, lead designer, founder, healthy home savant, and undisputed queen of project management.

At the core of my design philosophy is a single, guiding mission: to create homes that spark joy, giggles, and the occasional dance party. 

If there's a position in the interior design or construction world, I've probably held it! Being hands on early in my career helped shape my company and vision and led to the formation of my own design studio in 2018. I've garnered invaluable insights into the materials and methods that make up our living spaces. This knowledge has fueled my advocacy for healthier and safer homes, driving me to be at the forefront of sustainable design innovation and healthy home design.

I am inspired by nature, and the multitude of cultures that I have had the privilege to have been exposed to both during my childhood and later on in my travels as an adult and this inspiration frequently makes itself known in my designs. 

As the mother of three incredible sons — Henry, Oliver, and Noah— I understand all too well the importance of making mindful choices and healthier decisions. I don't just design spaces; I create environments where well-being thrives, for every generation.

Enneagram 1, nerdy as they come... I live for a shaken brown sugar espresso, a day spent gardening, and the joy on my client's faces as they see their new home.

Every sustainable, ethical material we use has a love story. From reclaimed wood that tells tales of its' former life to artisan textiles filled with cultural narratives. Our designs aren't just beautiful; they're rich in stories.
